How to analyse a game

  1. Bring the game in. Play one in the app against one of the twenty rivals, import your games from Lichess, or paste any PGN, including one downloaded from another site.
  2. Let the engine read it. It runs on your phone and gives you the accuracy of both players, an evaluation graph split into opening, middlegame and endgame, and every move graded from best to blunder.
  3. Step through it with the coach. On the moves that mattered, the coach explains the idea you missed and what to play instead, written for your level.

What it costs

Playing and the engine review are free. The coach’s explanations use credits: one credit is one explanation from the AI coach. Premium comes with 150 welcome credits, and credit packs do not expire. If you prefer, you can connect your own key from an AI provider (OpenAI, DeepSeek, Gemini, Claude or Qwen) and pay the provider directly.

Questions

Is there a free way to analyse my chess games?
Yes. In Chess Coach the engine review is free: accuracy, the evaluation graph and every move graded. The explanations from the AI coach are what use credits.
Can I analyse games I played on Lichess or Chess.com?
Lichess games can be imported directly. From any other site, download the game as PGN and paste it into the app.
How is an AI coach different from a chess engine?
The engine decides what the best move is; the coach turns that into language. In Chess Coach the engine does all the calculating, and the AI only explains what the engine found, so the chess in the explanation comes from the engine.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, on iPhone, iPad and Android. The engine runs on your device; the coach needs a connection.
